Private Residence in Alys Beach

Set along Florida’s Emerald Coast, this residence in Alys Beach was developed from the ground up through a collaborative process between the homeowners and the design team. Conceived as an inviting, relaxed home, the project balances architectural clarity with playful details and shades of blue inspired by the surrounding coastline.

Natural light and a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces are central to the design. A carefully positioned lightwell brings daylight into the kitchen and living room, while doors open directly onto the terrace, extending the living space outdoors and creating a natural setting for gathering and entertaining.

On the terrace, DANAO’s S2 collection by Ann Vering creates an inviting outdoor living space framed by sculptural white architecture and expansive blue skies. Two sofas and two lounge chairs, featuring warm teak frames and soft blue upholstery, are arranged around a coordinating coffee table. The natural wood and coastal palette complement the architectural details, bringing warmth, comfort, and a contemporary character to the setting.

The result is a home where architecture, light, and outdoor living come together in a relaxed coastal setting.
