Altamira Residence

At the heart of the outdoor experience, the Desert Collection by Marmol Radziner extends the architectural language into the open-air spaces. Originally designed for the Desert House in Desert Hot Springs, this collection embodies the same principles that define the residence—clean lines, low profiles, and a profound respect for materials. Positioned across the home’s expansive terraces, these pieces offer a quiet yet powerful presence, blending with the natural textures of native California shale and the rhythmic movement of wind-swept vegetation.
Perched along the rugged coastline of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, the Altamira Residence by Marmol Radziner is a study in harmony—between architecture and land, between structure and sea. Designed to preserve the natural contours of its 20-acre site, the residence seamlessly emerges from the terrain, its forms sculpted into the earth to maintain the raw, untouched beauty of the coastal bluff.

From sunrise over Catalina Island to the golden glow of dusk, the Desert Collection becomes an integral part of the home’s connection to the environment. Here, the balance of quality, durability, and function is more than a design ethos—it’s a way of living, where architecture, furniture, and landscape exist in perfect equilibrium.
