Alexander Valley Residence

Alexander Valley Residence

Set into the hillside overlooking California’s Alexander Valley, this intimate private residence by Nicole Hollis is conceived as a seamless extension of its surrounding landscape. A simple green roof and a series of indoor and outdoor spaces are integrated into the terrain, creating a retreat shaped by sweeping valley views, natural materials, and a strong sense of simplicity and order.

Outdoor living is central to the experience, with spaces for dining, gathering, relaxing, and enjoying the pool framed by the surrounding landscape. DANAO’s Greenwich lounge chairs bring considered comfort to the porch, while Desert lounge chairs define the outdoor living area. By the infinity pool, S2 pool chaises create a refined setting for taking in the expansive views.

The project brings together architecture, landscape, and outdoor living in a way that feels quiet, connected, and deeply rooted in its setting.
