Chief Operations Officer

Danao Living is seeking to hire an experienced and proven dynamic Chief Operations Officer within the furniture industry to manage our rapidly growing international brand.

As a key member of the senior management team, across finance, procurement, warehousing and logistics and is responsible for ensuring the company’s every day operational activities run smoothly and effectively. This role develops and implements new methods to achieve cost savings while delivering best practices in strategic sourcing, vendor selection, negotiation, supply chain analysis, requisitions, and supply consolidation across the Company. The Chief Operations Officer executes an integrated strategy related to current and future needs and global distribution that delivers low cost, high quality products and industry-leading flexibility, quality and customer satisfaction

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
  • Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
  • Oversee daily operations of the company (Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Marketing)
  • Must be analytical, motivated and eager to dive into the data.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, motivational, analytical problem solving and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to build cross-functional partnerships and engage in and lead cross-functional teams and initiatives
  • Strong change management skills and experience
  • Demonstrated negotiation and management leadership skills
  • Strategic material management and procurement experience with managing high volume transaction and forecasting needs / requirements in order to maximize volume discounts with key partners
  • Ability to develop and monitor production strategies and performance metrics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education and experience requirements include:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in related management, manufacturing, cost accounting or administration
  • 10 years of experience within Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance and Manufacturing
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a manager or director level role is required.
  • Excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics
  • Strong ERP systems experience required
  • Proven project and budget management experience with driven financial results
  • Substantial experience with inventory management, fulfillment and delivery
  • Experience with facilities oversight including physical infrastructure, maintenance, employee safety and security
  • Ability to analyze data, interpret and apply legislation, develop systems and standard operating procedures, and manage risk based on data and statistics
  • Experience meeting stringent compliance requirements
  • Proven expertise in organizational development and operations management, lean manufacturing principles, strategic and business planning methods, project planning and coordinating

Director of Sales, Contract Market

General Purpose of the Job

The Director of Sales position is responsible for establishing the sales targets to meet the company objectives. Responsible for developing strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization. This position will report directly to the CEO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the strategic plan for company.
  • Responsible for managing 40+ showrooms and retail partners.
  • Spearhead business development efforts throughout the country, with an emphasis on cultivating new and existing clients
  • Define, communicate, and direct the strategic growth priorities by sector (Contract and Showroom Retail)
  • Further develop and build the team to achieve the organizational goals and objectives
  • Build strong, effective relationships with all functional areas of the company
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement, continuous learning, and collaboration
  • Enhance the metrics and reporting tools required to drive improvement and growth
  • Review and analyze sales performance against plan to determine effectiveness
  • Provide leadership and day-to-day management for the team
  • Resolve all operational issues that may arise through the course of the specification, order, and delivery processes
  • Prepare regional sales reports for the executive team
  • Develop and manage the annual operating sales budget

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 8+ years direct outdoor furniture experience. Preferred specific experience selling into Contract and/or A&D community.
  • Demonstrated previous experience as a Regional or National Sales Manager growing a strong sales team throughout various regions.
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and lead successful strategies and tactics to grow sales and improve margins.
  • A thorough understanding of the industry including distribution and purchasing channels, key specifiers, corporate end-users, and competitors throughout various regions.
  • A strong track record of talent recognition and development – finding and building successful multi-sector sales organizations and future leaders.
  • Analytical and detail oriented with excellent planning, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, work well in a team environment, able to work in diverse environments, and adhere to highest ethical standards
  • Proven ability to build strong, effective relationships
  • Able to organize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Able to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Able to travel extensively in support of the business
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
